Kohi Click Test
The classic Kohi-style CPS test for PvP players. Pick a mode and click the block.

The Kohi Click Test measures your clicks per second (CPS) the way Minecraft PvP players have tested themselves for years. Choose a mode from 1 to 60 seconds (10 seconds is the default), click the block as fast as you can, and see your CPS with a tier from Wood to Netherite.
What Is the Kohi Click Test?
The Kohi Click Test is a CPS test named after Kohi, one of the best-known Minecraft PvP servers of the early 2010s. It measures how many times you can click per second, the core skill behind fast, competitive Minecraft fights.
Kohi was built entirely around competitive PvP. Its best-known game modes were:
- Practice: 1v1 duels, with an ELO ranking system that matched players by skill.
- Hardcore Factions (HCF): team-based survival with intense raids and fights.
- Potion Survival Games (PotSG): last-player-standing battles using potions.
Kohi’s staff team later joined the Badlion network, and the server officially closed on April 29, 2016.
The name stuck. Today, players use “Kohi click test” for a CPS test in the style of that PvP era: short, focused rounds that show whether your clicking is fast enough to compete.
Kohi Tiers Explained
When your Kohi test ends, you get a tier based on your CPS. The tiers follow Minecraft’s material ranks, from basic Wood up to the top tier:
| Tier | CPS | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Wood | 0–4.9 | Casual clicking. Fine for building, too slow for PvP. |
| Stone | 5–6.9 | A solid start. Enough for relaxed fights. |
| Iron | 7–8.9 | Fast regular clicking. You can hold your own in most duels. |
| Gold | 9–10.9 | PvP-ready. Usually it takes jitter clicking or lots of practice. |
| Diamond | 11–13.9 | Competitive level. You’ll win most clicking trades. |
| Netherite | 14+ | Elite. Usually butterfly clicking or a highly trained jitter. |
Tiers are based on the 10-second mode. Shorter modes give higher scores, so compare tiers only at the same timer length.
How Much CPS Do You Need for Minecraft PvP?
It depends on which version of Minecraft you play, because the combat systems work differently:
| Version | Does CPS matter? | A good target |
|---|---|---|
| Java 1.8 PvP | Yes, a lot. There’s no attack cooldown, so more clicks means more hits. | 8–12 CPS |
| Bedrock Edition | Yes. Bedrock also has no attack cooldown, so fast clicking deals full damage. | 8–12 CPS |
| Java 1.9 and newer | Much less. An attack cooldown means timing beats speed. | Hit when your weapon is fully charged |
The 1.9 Combat Update, released in 2016, added an attack cooldown to Java Edition. Your weapon now needs a moment to recharge between swings, and spam-clicking actually lowers your damage. That’s why many competitive PvP servers still run 1.8-style combat, where CPS is king.
In short: if you play 1.8 PvP or Bedrock, training your CPS with the Kohi test gives you a real edge.
Kohi Clicking Test vs Regular CPS Test
Both tests measure clicks per second the same way. The differences are in how each one is set up:
| Item | Kohi Click Test | CPS Test |
|---|---|---|
| Default timer | 10 seconds | 5 seconds |
| Timer options | 1–60 seconds | 1–100 seconds, plus custom |
| Results | Minecraft tiers, Wood to Netherite | Ranks, Rookie to Legend |
| Best for | PvP training | General speed checks |

PvP Clicking Tips
A high CPS only wins fights if your clicks land. Use these tips to turn test speed into real PvP results:
- Aim first, speed second. Fast clicks that miss do nothing. Keep your crosshair on your opponent, even if that costs you a little speed.
- Hold your pace for the whole fight. Most fights last longer than a 1-second burst. Train with the 10- or 15-second mode, so your speed holds up when it counts.
- Lower your sensitivity for jitter clicking. Jitter clicking shakes your hand, which can throw off your aim. A slightly lower mouse sensitivity keeps your crosshair steady.
- Combine clicking with movement. In 1.8 PvP, players time their sprinting and strafing with their hits (like W-tapping) to control knockback.
- Check each server’s rules. Some servers flag very high CPS as possible autoclicking, so know the limits before you push your speed.
- Practise where you fight. Test here, then use your speed on practice servers against real opponents.
FAQ
What is a good Kohi Click Test score?
In the 10-second mode, 7–9 CPS (Iron tier) is solid for most fights. 9 CPS or more (Gold tier and up) is PvP-ready, and 14+ CPS earns Netherite.
Is the Kohi server still online?
No. Kohi officially closed on April 29, 2016, and its staff team joined the Badlion network. Its name lives on through the Kohi-style click test players still use today.
Does CPS matter in Bedwars?
Yes. Most popular Bedwars servers use 1.8-style combat with no attack cooldown, so faster clicking means more hits and more knockback on your opponent during bridge and bed fights.
Can I use the Kohi Click Test on mobile?
Yes. Every tap on the block counts as a click. Tapping on a touchscreen feels different from clicking a mouse, so compare phone scores only with other phone scores.
