About CPSTester.io
CPSTester.io is a free set of click speed and mouse testing tools, built for gamers who want to know exactly how fast and how reliable their clicking really is. Whether you're practising for PvP in Minecraft, grinding a clicker game on Roblox, or checking if a new mouse lives up to its specs, our tools give you a clear, measurable answer in seconds.
We started CPSTester.io in 2022 with a simple CPS test. Since then it has grown into a full toolkit that measures clicks per second, jitter clicking consistency, mouse buttons, polling rate and scroll wheel health. Every tool runs right in your browser, with no downloads, no sign-up and no paywalls.
Our goal is simple: give players accurate results, explain what those results mean, and help them improve.
Who We Are
CPSTester.io is run by a small, independent team of developers, testers and gamers who have been building browser gaming and utility tools since 2018. Over the years we've seen exactly how players use click tests, what confuses them, and what makes a tool worth coming back to. We've built CPSTester.io around that experience.
Each part of the site is handled by people who know their craft:
- Developers build every tool and fine-tune its timing, so your results stay accurate down to the millisecond.
- A dedicated QA team tests each tool on real mice, laptops, touchpads and phones before anything goes live.
- Content specialists write our guides and answers in plain language, based on the questions players actually ask.
We play games ourselves, and we use our own tools. Every feature here was added because a real player needed it.
What We Offer
CPSTester.io brings together six free tools that cover both how fast you click and how well your mouse performs:
- CPS Test: Our main tool measures your clicks per second. Choose a timer from 1 to 100 seconds, or set your own custom time, and get your score with a rank the moment time runs out.
- Kohi Click Test: A CPS test in the style of the classic Kohi PvP server, made for Minecraft players who want to test their PvP clicking speed.
- Jitter Click Test: This test goes beyond raw speed. It shows your average gap between clicks, a consistency score and a second-by-second chart, so you can see how steady your jitter clicking really is.
- Mouse Test: Checks that every button on your mouse works, including the side buttons and scroll wheel. It also warns you about accidental double-clicks, a common sign of a worn switch.
- Polling Rate Test: Measures how often your mouse reports its position to your computer, in Hz, and shows the standard rate your mouse is most likely set to.
- Scroll Test: A full scroll wheel check that records every scroll, catches sudden reverse jumps, and gives you a complete health report.
How We Build and Test Our Tools
Accuracy is the whole point of a testing tool, so we take how ours work seriously.
Precise timing. Every test uses your browser's high-precision timer, which measures time in fractions of a millisecond, not the slower clock most websites rely on. Timed tests start on your first click, so a slow start never counts against you. Your CPS is your total clicks divided by the exact test length you chose.
Real hardware testing. Before a tool goes live, our QA team runs it through a written set of test cases on different setups:
- budget and gaming mice
- wired and wireless connections
- laptops and touchpads
- phones
- Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari
We compare the results across setups and fix anything that doesn't hold up.
Clear detection rules. Tools that flag problems, like double-clicks in the Mouse Test or reverse jumps in the Scroll Test, use fixed thresholds that we explain on each tool's page. You can always see why a result was flagged.
Retesting after every update. Browsers change often, so we retest our tools after major browser updates and after every change we make.
Our Accuracy and Content Standards
We believe a good testing tool should be honest about its limits as well as its results.
We tell you what affects your score. Your browser, operating system, device and even background apps can affect a reading. For example, some browsers cap how many mouse events a webpage can see, which can make a high-end mouse show a lower polling rate than it really has. Where this matters, we say so right next to the result.
Our guides come from real testing. Every guide and FAQ on CPSTester.io is written by our team and based on hands-on use of the tools. We don't copy specs or repeat myths about clicking techniques. If we haven't tested a claim, we don't publish it.
We review and update content. Guides are checked whenever a tool changes, and each page shows when it was last updated.
We fix mistakes quickly. If you spot an error, tell us. We check every report and correct what's wrong.
